Missy Shepherd

Missy Shepherd has been involved in fitness, sports, competition and health her entire life. She has worked in the Los Angeles Unified School district for the past 10 years as a Physical Education teacher. She currently works at Venice High School and is the Fitness/Wellness Coach with the Communties In Schools Los Angeles students.

Ms. Shepherd has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has worked at Gold's Gym for 20 years, where she has played many roles. Some include: certified Personal trainer, certified group fitness and spin instructor, and child care

Ms. Shepherd is involved in the following activites that include: " Ready Set Gold", "Teach the Teachers", "Sound Body Sound Mind", "Teens Take Off", and a Cheerleading Coach. Other accomplishments: She represented the USA at World Championships for Ironman 70.3, plus 4 other Ironman events, as well as competing on average 2 marathons a year, and 6 Triathlon events. She dominates her events by finishing in the top 5-10%.

Ms. Shepherd takes pride in creating programs that are fun and exciting for teens to learn how to set goals, make healthier choices, and get fit while building self confidence. Her life examples teaches us to follow our dreams, no matter how great, and always have a Positive Mental Attitude.
