How You Can Help


Communities in Schools Los Angeles West (CISLAW) and the generosity of donors like you can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of students at Hamilton and Venice High Schools.

Join us as a Corporate partner a contribution level of:

" $10,000 qualifies you as a Gold level Partner
" $5,000 qualifies you as a Silver level Partner
" $2,000 qualifies you as a Platinum level Partner

 

We will work with you to define how your donation will be spent to support and assist the at risk students in our program. And, all our Gold, Silver and Platinum sponsors will be featured in our literature, our website and in a prominent fashion at our functions
Contribution amounts can be used in a variety of ways, for example:

" $100 provides a series of job-shadowing experiences for a student in a business or agency
" $500 provides a year of mentoring for five students
" $1,000 provides a year of tutoring for two students
" $2,500 provides field trip for a class of 25 students to a museum or theater
" $5,000 provides for one year of a graduation coach for 20 students

We also welcome in-kind contributions. You employees can volunteer their time and talent to do the following:

" Tutor for four hours a week in our after school tutoring programs
" Mentor a student for four hours a month
" Provide a job-shadowing opportunity for a student to visit your place of work
" Provide a venue for a field trip or volunteer to chaperone a field trip
" Employees can serve as a guest speaker in a classroom sharing their professional experiences
? Participate in a community service or school improvement day along with CIS students.
? Contribute items through the year, such as tickets, gift certificates, movie passes, and other non-perishable items.
